A culture of caring is part of what makes Camden a great company to work for.  Employees enjoy serving our customers as well as our community.

Each year, we have the opportunity to give back to our community in a big way through our Camden Cares events.  This year the Dallas team worked with an organization we are very familiar with, Rebuilding Together.  Camden has partnered with Rebuilding Together for the past few years in various cities to allow home owners to experience life transformation through the rebuilding of homes.

Rebuilding Together is a premier nonprofit housing organization that partners with multiple organizations who wish to be a part of something bigger than themselves. The focus is to “transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing communities.” (Rebuilding Together) The organization as a whole completes nearly 10,000 rebuilds a year.

Partnering with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas and serving four separate families and veterans, teams from all of the Camden communities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area worked on four homes in the Hamilton Park neighborhood of North Dallas.

We asked participants to share their thoughts on this year’s efforts.

“I loved watching the joy in the homeowners’ faces as they saw the transformation in their homes.” Ingrid, Assistant Manger, Camden Legacy Park

“We are fortunate to work with a company that lets us help someone that worked so many years to give.” Jessica, Community Manager, Camden Design District

Quote From a Participant at Camden Cares 2016 Event

”I think it's great to know that there are companies like Camden and organizations like Rebuilding Together that are seeking out Veterans to help the ones that are in need, including their family members. It seems as though there are times where Veterans end up in the background of people's thoughts and are sometimes forgotten about. It gives me a great sense of pride in the company I work for, myself, and our city that for the past three years we have been giving back to those families.” Evan, Veteran & Leasing Consultant, Camden Panther Creek

“I’ve never worked for a company that does community service, so it means so much to be able to give back with my coworkers.” Ally, Leasing Consultant, Camden Legacy Park - (The day of the event was only Ally's 3rd day with Camden!)
