Making friends as an adult can be difficult, especially if you are new to the area. One of the most popular recreational sports in Charlotte, NC is pickleball. It can be a great avenue to meet new people and stay active. Here are a few great spots to become engaged in the local social and competitive pickleball scene!

Pickleball Charlotte

Pickleball Charlotte is an organization that offers open play, tournaments, leagues, lessons, and private court rentals. They have four locations with over 60 courts. They are located nearby Camden Ballantyne, Camden South Park, North Lake, and Steele Creek areas. Pickleball Charlotte - offers leagues that appeal to various ages, skill levels, and level of competitiveness. Registration is easy through the CourtReserve App on mobile phones.

Rally Pickleball

If you enjoy pickleball in addition to other social events such as workout classes like pilates, holiday-themed day parties, or ladies’ nights, Rally pickleball emphasizes the social connections you can make while playing this sport but provides a space where connections can be made through events or food as well. Their facilities offer eight pickleball courts and a full food, café, and cocktail menu to allow you to relax and stay awhile.

Located in the LoSo neighborhood, Rally is conveniently located to many Camden communities including but not limited to, Camden Southline, Camden Gallery, Camden Dilworth, and Camden South End.

Tipsy Pickle

The newest addition to Charlotte’s pickleball scene is Tipsy Pickle. Tipsy Pickle’s motto is “recreationally active”. While they are pickleball focused, they do also have golf simulators, cornhole, shuffleboard, pool, and ping pong to appeal to multiple interests. Additioinally, they offer a full drink and food menu to be a place to gather and socialize without having to play a sport at all. Located in Camp North End, Tipsy Pickle is located nearest to Camden’s newest community, Camden NoDa, but is also conveniently accessed from our Uptown and South End communities as well.

Camden NoDa

Need pickleball right in your backyard? Camden NoDa has a gaming courtyard equipped with pickleball, cornhole, putting green, and picnic tables, in addition to, additional courtyards and pool areas, this community provides the opportunity to host guests or socialize with your neighbors.
