Finding Water in the Desert

Finding water in the desert is hard to do! And as I’m sure you’ve heard by now it’s getting hot here in Arizona. It's a dry desert heat and that means water is a necessity! With last weekend’s temperatures rising to 118°, it’s hard to find things to do and still be able to stay cool. Well I took a look around town and found some great places to cool off in the summer heat!
- Cosmo Dog Park
We have one of the top rated dog parks right here in Arizona! If you live at Camden Chandler or Camden Pecos Ranch this is especially convenient for you! Cosmo Dog Park has plenty of space for you dog to run around and play and even a lake for them to swim in! Don’t forget the towels, because I’m sure in the summer heat this will be a favorite of your dogs!
- Salt River Tubing
Just 30 minutes from Camden Hayden. This sweet escape allows you to float on the Salt River near Saguaro Lake. You can bring your own tube or rent one from the Recreation center. When you arrive, frist determine how far you want to float down the river. And when you've finished you can ride the bus back to the recreation center. You're allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks, as long as there are no glass containers.
- Dive-In Movies
Many of the resorts around the area offer movie nights by the pool! They set up a projection screen and you can swim while watching a movie. The best of both worlds! Check out the resorts closest to you: The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, The Four Seasons Scottsdale, and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch.
- The Pool
My all time favorite way to cool off in the summer is by lounging at the pool! Luckily Camden has wonderful pools for you to cool off at. Bring your sunscreen and some water and relax poolside!
Stay safe and cool in the Arizona heat this summer! Try Infused water to stay hydrated all summer long!
