My Spring-to Summer 10-Minute Reset Routine

Here’s my go-to 10-minute reset routine for a quick seasonal refresh of your apartment.

1. The “Clear One Surface” Rule (2 Minutes)

  • Pick one surface, your kitchen counter, coffee table, desk, or nightstand.

  • Set a timer and clear anything that doesn’t belong there. No organizing every drawer. No deep cleaning. Just a quick visual reset.

  • Amazing what a difference one clean surface can make.

2. Let the Sunshine In (1 Minute)

Open the blinds, crack a window, and let some fresh air move through your apartment. A little natural light and a breeze can instantly make your space feel brighter, fresher, and more energized.

3. The Laundry Basket Sweep (2 Minutes)

Grab a basket and do a quick lap around your apartment.

Toss in:

  • Stray clothes

  • Packages that haven’t found a home yet

  • That sweatshirt that’s been living on a chair all week

Don’t worry about sorting it right now. The goal is simply to clear the clutter and create a little breathing room.

4. Bathroom Refresh (2 Minutes)

This one always makes a bigger impact than expected.

  • Swap out the hand towel

  • Wipe down the mirror

  • Refill the soap dispenser
