We are already into the New Year and I know many people have already given up on their resolution of being healthier, working out more or losing weight.  It’s hard to get motivated when you’re in your cozy apartment but now is the time to kick your resolution into high gear!

I hope a few of these helpful tips get you on the right track:

Try Something New - Have you ever taken a spin class, jazzercise or attempted an aerial fitness class? Even doing a quick 15 to 20-minute workout with the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge is a great way to kick start your health and fitness. Some of our incredible Camden communities have amazing equipment such as a rock climbing wall or Wexer bikes in their gym you can use. Get out of your comfort zone and try something you have never done before. You never know how much you will love it if you don’t try it 1st!

Go Outside – Running on a treadmill and staring at the same wall at the gym can get a little boring after some time.  How about taking a hike on one of your local trails or kayaking down a beautiful river? What about paddleboarding on a clear lake or skiing down a beautiful white mountain? Take a lap in your Camden community pool? Having fresh air in your lungs and beautiful scenery all around will make you feel like you are not even working out all!

Hydration – Everyone always say to Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! I know that cannot be easy for many people but add some flavor to help get those ounces down. Try infusing your water  with strawberries, lemon, fresh basil, oranges, blueberries…the possibilities are endless! Pour it all in to a cute bottle and you are off to hydrate your body.

Food – Nutrition is one on the most important pieces to becoming healthier. Join your local food co-op where you can purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables to add to your plate. With your new local produce try grilling brussel sprouts or making zoodles. Make healthy foods in different ways – I personally love grilling fruits and vegetables. So delicious!

Be Healthy!

Sticking to any resolutions is hard; I have tried and failed many times. I hope that these tips recharge your spirt to get healthier this year. I know you can do it!
