Christmas Tree

Whether you are going full out or serving some minimalist Christmas tree magic, there is a tree for every apartment home! If you are in a smaller space this holiday season, consider a slimmer tree to fit in a tight corner or a tabletop tree for your window ledge or counters.

Merry Tip #1: Grab all your favorite people after picking the perfect tree, then have a decorating party (Christmas music and snacks included)! Incorporating homemade ornaments or personalized photos is my favorite part and adds an extra layer of sentiment.

Throw Pillows and Blankets

Switching out your usual couch throw pillows and blankets for some festive ones adds instant warmth and cheer! A chunky knit throw and plaid accents could be just what your space needs, making an easy transition into the holidays. You can always spread the cheer beyond your living room by adding holiday throws to the foot of your bed or throw pillows to an office space.

Merry Tip #2: When a blanket is not in use, tie it up with a ribbon to minimize clutter while maximizing holiday spirit!

Front Door

Your front door is the first thing you and your guests see, and even your neighbors who live around you! Frame your entryway with garlands, ribbons or lights to add a small but spirited touch. Door mats are also a fun way to change up the vibe and make it your own! Nods to your favorite Christmas movie or character are a great way to keep it fresh and unique. Want to go the more traditional route? Pick a wreath that matches your style for all to see!

Merry Tip #3: Add your favorite trinkets to your wreath, such as small ornaments, bells, or bows, for the perfect extra sparkle.

Balcony

Lights are a must for your balcony or patio this holiday season to add the right glow for a magical touch that screams “Tis the Season”. For us desert dwellers in Arizona, winter is our time to enjoy our patios and balconies and what better way than with cheery lights to brighten the space.

Merry Tip #4: Handle your lights and décor with care by securing them clips or ties so they can withstand all winter weather, no matter your location.

Kitchen

Swap out dish towels, oven mitts and kitchen counter centerpieces with your beloved seasonal ones! Lighting a seasonal-scented candle is one of the easiest ways to get your senses ready for the holidays, too!

Merry Tip #5: Bake some holiday goodies in your oven to create some sweet aromas throughout your home! Cinnamon rolls are one of my personal favorites.
