Hanging Décor

While nails are sometimes useful when hanging holiday decor, you'll want to go back to your everyday decor when the season is over. Our solution to add festive wall decorations is to use removable hanging strips or hooks. To ensure the security of your decorations, clean or dust the make the area before applying them to attain good adhesion.

Protect your floor against your Christmas tree

Real or artificial trees are staples of the holiday season, but these beauties can be heavy, leaving indentations on your carpet or even scratching faux wood floors. To protect your carpet, try a piece of plywood under your tree skirt to help redistribute the weight. If you have faux wood flooring or tile, try a non-skid mat (like an old yoga mat) for a smooth landing.

Be Wise with Wreaths

We all love wreaths and the greeting they give visitors to your apartment home. Decorating and hanging them can be a pain though. If your wreath is full of glitter, try using an acrylic sealer before hanging it up. Make sure to let them dry completely before setting them against your door, or you’ll have a glittery door for the rest of the year. If you don’t want to risk scratching or damaging your front door with a hook or metal door hanger, try a clear plastic door hanger from Amazon. Another way good tip is to wrap some ribbon around your door hanger. That way, it’ll match that beautiful wreath.

The holiday season can be joyous, and you'll thank yourself for thinking of these things when the new year arrives and the decor comes down. Now that you have your apartment ready for the season, here are a few tips to make sure your Camden apartment is ready for those out-of-town family members that are sure to come visit.
