I can't believe it's already October! Fall seems to have come so quickly. With so many events going on in Atlanta I want to make sure that I don't let another month go by without going to a few local events - some even free! I'm really looking forward to catching up with some old friends at Clark Atlanta University's Homecoming Oct 2nd, checking out rapper Drake live at The Fox Oct 6th, strolling down Auburn Avenue at the "Sweet Auburn Festival" October 9th&10th, walking for a good cause with my Camden family at the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk at Atlantic Station Oct 23rd and finally getting my "grub" on at "Taste of Atlanta" Oct 23rd &24th. That sounds like a lot of commitments. I hope I can make everything! There are tons of other great events going on in Atlanta this month so I want to make sure a few great ones are mentioned... DALI - THE LATE WORK At the High Museum. Madman or Genius? Decide for yourself at the Salvadoran exhibition. Through January 9th. TWIST - An American Musical New Orleans 1928. As the roaring twenties dance their way down Bourbon street, an orphan in search of a home finds family in the most unexpected places. A hot new musical twist on the Dickens Classic. Through Oct 3rd. PUMPKIN FESTIVAL Come out and enjoy soon cooler weather and pumpkins in Atlanta's favorite place to celebrate the fall season at Stone Mountain Park. Through Oct 31st. SCARECROWS IN THE GARDEN Dozens of wild and crazy characters will be lurking in the woods at The Atlanta Botanical Garden. Through October 31st. Okay so no excuses.
