Today marks a year that I have been working for Camden. I currently serve as the District Coordinator of the Charlotte region. I assist our Charlotte properties with operations as well as facilities. As I look back on this year: I remember all of the amazing people I have met, the relationships that have grown, the memories I have shared, and how much I have grown personally and professionally. Here are the Top 5 Reasons Why I Love My Job at Camden.

1. I Work With Some Awesome People. Working at Camden, I have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people. From my day-to-day coworkers, to the Vice President of my region. From the energetic staff members in Charlotte, and to our CEO’s. I am surrounded by hardworking, FUN, selfless people every day which allows me to enjoy my job even more. The people I work with are people I can trust, who always wants to see me do my best and who genuinely cares about me. I am honored to call them my work family.

2. Camden’s Culture. Camden has the most unique culture. This unique culture is what makes Camden such a great place to work for! 3. The Perks are Amazing. Camden offers so many incredible perks. From vacation suites throughout the country, to discounted rates on your own Camden apartment. Camden also offers Education Assistance programs, just to name a few. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of enjoying a vacation in Miami, Florida, in one of the vacation suites at Camden Brickell, last November. This suite was in the heart of downtown Miami, and within walking distance from popular restaurants and shopping centers. We enjoyed a boat ride throughout the Bayside Marketplace, and of course enjoyed the surrounding Miami beaches. What other company offers perks like this? NONE!

4. We have Fun. As the District Coordinator of Charlotte, one of my biggest responsibilities is to plan for our exciting events. This is probably the most rewarding part of my job. I have planned small events, from corporate meetings, to full week events, where I planned activities every day to show our Appreciation to our staff. I have planned Yacht rides throughout Lake Norman, corporate day events: like our FUN DAY, our annual ACE Awards and the Camden Cares Events, where we give back to our community. Yes! Planning events can be stressful, with all the details it entails – but, I enjoy planning our events the most, because I get the opportunity to see the smiles on our employees faces and witness how much FUN they have at work!

5. So Many Opportunities to Grow. Here at Camden, there are many opportunities for personal growth as well as professional growth. One particular opportunity would have to be our online training programs. There are so many online resources that Camden offers: from TedTalks seminars, to university online classes, to arts & sciences classes, where you can learn different languages, and guess what- They’re Free! As you can see, Camden provides us with endless resources and opportunities to continue growing, learning, contributing and succeeding. They are definitely “People Driven.”

I am so lucky to have found such a great company to work for. Camden offers so many opportunities and resources to their employees and have some of the most fun and amazing people I have ever met in my life. I truly understand why we are one of the Best Companies to Work For! I LOVE MY JOB!
