Every year the holiday season rushes in and just has fast rushes out.  Leaving us with a lot of decorations to find a place to call home for the next 11 months.   Do you ever find yourself asking, “where am I going to store all this?”.  Well, don’t fret!  Here are my top 5 nifty holiday storage hacks!

1.       Neutral colored candles

Wait, what? Isn’t this blog supposed to help me store my decorations? Yes! If you are a fan of candles, why not invest in some neutral colored candles?  This way you can cut storing and keep them out all year long! Pier 1 Imports has an unscented white candle available for only $2.

2.       Egg and Apple Cartons

Ornament boxes can become ruined.  Try out empty egg and apple cartons.  Put your smaller ornaments in the egg cartons and your larger ornaments in the apple cartons.  Once you finish putting them in their respectable carton, stack all the cartons into one box. This minimizes having many ornament boxes, which trust me, can happen easily.  Instead, you have only one box to go to for all your ornaments. Score!

3.       Water Bottles

Do you find yourself every year frustrated trying to de-tangle your garland? Only to find yourself back at the store to buy a new one?  Well now you don’t have to do that again! Once you’re finished with your garland, just put it in an empty water bottle.  This ensures no tangle, and it is a small storage item!

4.       Wreaths in Closet

This is genius.  Instead of having to worry about ruining your beautiful wreath, hang it in your closet!  This allows the wreath to stay in its natural position all year long.  So when the holidays come rolling back in, you can simply remove it from your closet rod and place it on your door.

5.       Gift Wrapping Storage

This is my personal favorite storage hack.  You can buy a hanging gift wrap organizer to place in your closet.  This has pockets and nooks for all things wrapping!  It is long too, so you can fit your wrapping paper in there.  You can buy one at Bed Bath & Beyond for $25.

Living at one of our beautiful Camden communities has storage perks.  You have ample room for your holiday decorations to call home.  Large walk in closets to extra storage rooms available, we are here to help you de-clutter and feel at home.
