At Camden, we believe that being a great neighbor goes beyond providing a great place to live! A huge part of what makes Camden so special is our Camden Cares initiative, where we give back to the communities our residents and so many of us call home. Our team members, and in some cases even residents, participate in projects year-round to support local causes, show appreciation to those who matter most, and create a positive impact.

Across Camden this year we, have seen multiple initiatives, including a Hurricane Helene donation drive in North Carolina and our sponsorship of Camden Park in Houston.

In Arizona, we most recently hosted a Packages from Home event and celebrated First Responders Day, which we do every year. Getting together with my fellow team members to give back will always be special to me, and I am thankful for what we get to do year after year.

Packages from Home

We recently just hosted an event at our Arizona District Office with Packages from Home. Our Camden team members packaged 50 care packages full of hygiene products, necessities, stuffed animals, socks and more for overseas military members. These packages are to show our military some extra support and love, especially because we were taught that not all of them receive things while overseas. We even got to write little notes of appreciation, thanking them for their sacrifice and service, which we hope puts a little pep in their step and smile on their face.

First Responders Day

Every year, our Arizona teams celebrate First Responders Day on 09/11 by gifting our local first responders with goodie baskets. Each of our communities sends team members to the closest police stations, fire stations or hospitals to drop off the baskets and show the ones who work on the front lines every day to save our lives that we are forever thankful. The gift baskets always include an assortment of snacks and drinks to help them get through their shifts. It is always so fun to see the surprise when we come with this big basket, and how appreciative they always are.
