Colorful Accent Furniture
Accent furniture is generally a small piece of furniture such as an end table, small chair, small chest or desk. You can sprinkle in accent furniture throughout the main rooms in your apartment to have a larger piece of color. Many of our Camden Communities are close to stores like Target, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods so you can find your accent furniture at a great cost! If you find an accent piece, but are not sure how it will fit, check out this blog to know 100%.
Throw Pillows, Curtains & Rugs
Once you have your newest accent furniture that you love, you can go wild with throw pillows, area rugs and curtains. There are a plethora of patterns and color combos out there to go with every feel. A great place to get inspiration for your own apartment in your communities’ Resident Lounge. Not only are our Resident Lounges a great place to read, connect with friends, and relax, but they are always decorated to the tee! Why not bring what you love about your amenities into your own apartment home?
Floral arrangements are a great way to add a pop of décor to any room. From peonies to red sunflowers, to tulips and everything in-between; flowers have a certain way of bringing on ear-to-ear smiles. Not only do flowers bring a temporary pop of color to your apartment, but they smell great as well. If flowers are not your thing, try indoor plants to give you a fresh feeling. Have a pet? There are tons of Pet-Friendly Plants you can get. If you are like me and do not have a green thumb, you can opt for fake, realistic flowers that will hold the color for years to come.
ProTip: There are tricks to prolonging the life of your flowers if you do choose fresh colored flowers.
Artwork is a great and easy way to add color to your apartment home. Fun pieces are great to hang on a blank wall so that your eye is drawn directly to the artwork. You can hang famous artwork, your own artwork, your kids’ artwork, phrases...anything you'd like. An awesome idea is to create a gallery wall of several pieces of work. You can even add photos of your family and pets printed on canvas size prints to hang on the walls. Personal photos are great because they are special to you and this, of course, is your home.
Bringing color into your apartment home does not have to be as permanent as paint. Like the seasons' change, so do our color preferences. If you’re needing inspiration, Simply Camden has you covered on 6 décor styles to try in your apartment home!
