If you have ever searched for the latest cleaning tips and tricks on YouTube or Pinterest to make your Camden apartment shine, you may have come across people using vinegar and Dawn dish soap as the ultimate miracle cleaning solution.   This match made in heaven has been a household staple for a long time and I make sure to keep it handy.

To make the solution is simple and easy on the wallet!  Pour equal parts of vinegar and Dawn into a spray bottle.  Gently shake, then spray liberally onto the surface to be cleaned.

I have found the best results is when I use it to clean chrome shower and sink fixtures.  After spraying on the fixture, rub and wipe it with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching.  Look at the before and after photos of my shower faucet and water valve!

Not only can you put the ingredients in a spray bottle, but you can also use a non-scratch dish wand sponge for any scrubbing that may need to be done.

If you have soap scum or tough deposits, you can heat the vinegar in the microwave before mixing for a little extra strength.  Spray all over the tub and shower and let it sit for a few minutes to a few hours, depending how challenging the job is.  Scrub if you need to, but the scum should rub right off.

Don’t worry about the strong vinegar smell.  You will be pleasantly surprised it smells more like Dawn than vinegar!
