As the season progresses and we get deeper in to the holidays all you see on tv and social media is the snow, the cold weather, and all the events and activities to do outdoors due to the change of season. Meanwhile, for those of us in South FL watch the snow on tv and back to our regularly scheduled beach day. Yet, if you're like me, and want to get in to the holiday spirit there are so many events going on and coming to town, to get you in the Christmas spirit, just before the big man comes to town. Here is a list of events that you MUST enjoy in South FL just around the corner from your Camden home.

1. Symphony of Lights at Gulfstream Park

Now through December 31st, enjoy a night of fun at the show featuring a 50-foot Christmas tree and more than 1 Million colored lights synchronized to music. You can expect surprise visits from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, toy soldiers, elves, angels and jugglers and more.

2. Night Garden at Fairchild

Now through January 6th, walk though Fairchild Tropical Garden ‘Miami’s most gorgeous garden’ for Night Garden and find it brought to life with stunning illumination, spectacular special effects, and unbelievable surprises for the whole family.

3. Chinese Lantern Festival

Learn and enjoy a night as Ancient Chinese culture comes to enchanted life through dazzling lights, colors, shapes, and inspiring performances and authentic cuisine and more. The Chinese Lantern Festival event hosted at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds from November 30, 2018-January 20, 2019

4.Doral Holiday Lights and Ice

Watch as Doral Central Park will turns into a Winter Wonderland. There will be rides, food, music, and snow on December 14th from 6pm-10pm.

5. Deering Estate Festival of Trees

On December 12th, Enjoy a holiday evening stroll through the Deering Estate for family activities, tour the decorated historical homes and grounds and enjoying beautiful night time views of Biscayne Bay.
