If you’re an Atlantan, you’ve absolutely heard of a certain iconic Kroger grocery store on Ponce De Leon Ave in the Fourth Ward. Notorious though that location may have been, Kroger has now returned to the Atlanta Beltline with a new store that will change your perspective, fill your pantry and make your jaw DROP.  Residents of Camden Atlanta’s Fourth Ward and Midtown communities can rejoice at this new, affordable option in their neighborhood.

Beltline Kroger

Beltline Kroger leaned fully in to the popularity of the neighborhood

Beltline Kroger spans 60,000 square feet off the East Side Trail. It’s the ground floor of a $200 million multi-use project that’s mainly made up of offices.  After three years of construction, the grand opening was on Wednesday, October 9th.

A feature that makes Beltline Kroger stand out is the multiple options around the store for ready-to-go food. B’s Cracklin Barbeque (a local favorite), Pub on Ponce Beer and Wine Bar, a Starbucks with an option to order from a window that opens to the Beltline trail, and the common grocery store options of a deli and sushi bar are all available. This is MORE than a grocery store. It is an inexpensive dining option for the hundreds and thousands of people who work, live, exercise and commute via the Atlanta Beltline – an area that is notorious for high pricing. Camden Fourth Ward, Camden Midtown Atlanta, and Camden Vantage residents, I’m talking to you! This is your new weeknight easy dinner hot spot. Grab a friend and snack on the patio or pick up your meal and walk on home to your convenient and cozy Camden Apartment.

Cracklin B's

Remember those 60,000 square feet we mentioned above? It’s no joke. Beltline Kroger is MASSIVE. For consumers, this means more options, better crowd management and availability of even the most obscure items. The Atlanta Beltline is famous for being packed on the weekends. With the Beltline Kroger, the crowds won’t even be a bother because wide lanes and the overall size of the building make shopping comfortable and easy.

Trendier items (Apple Cider Vinegar, Avocados, Impossible Burgers and more!) can be found at prices much lower than the other, more boutique grocery stores in the area.  Stop getting charged “market value” for adding avocado to your sandwich and treat yourself to hot ticket items and a reasonable price. Whole Foods who?

Beyond Burgers

My personal favorite feature of Beltline Kroger is the walkability. If you’re a resident at Camden Fourth Ward, Camden Midtown Atlanta or Camden Vantage, you can walk to this new Kroger! A beautiful Beltline stroll AND all your grocery needs? Yes, please! In my home, I really value walkability and while the Fourth Ward/Midtown area certainly already had that, adding a place to get well-priced groceries really was the cherry on top of an amazing neighborhood. Grab your reusable grocery bags and get walking!
