If you are like me, your kitchen is your happy place. Having the space and tools to cook a yummy meal, make a cup of tea, or do the dishes without feeling claustrophobic literally helps to ease the stress in my life. If you are not like me, I guarantee that getting your kitchen organized will make it that much more enjoyable! Louis Parrish once said, “If you can organize your kitchen, you can organize your life”. So, let’s start here! Lucky for you, Camden’s kitchens are modernly designed, with upgraded countertops, appliances, and ample storage space to bring your chef inspired kitchen to life.

From my Camden Kitchen to yours, here are my favorite tips and tricks to start your journey to an organized kitchen.
**Expandable Drawer Organizers**
First, you will need at least two of these bad boys. They expand to fit the size of each drawer to produce the perfect place to store your silverware, serving utensils, knives, and anything your kitchen desires. No need to worry about dimensions or everything sliding around every time you open the drawer. I got mine from The Container Store and Amazon, but you can find these at any store that sells kitchen products. My favorite drawer displays my multicolored kitchen knives I got from Amazon Basics.

**Keep Your Countertops Clear- Baskets & Hooks**
This is the most practical of my organizing tips. Limit the items on your countertops to maximize cooking space and allow your kitchen to be easier to clean. An easy way to do this is to utilize baskets or installing hooks on the backs of your cabinets. My favorite tool is the basket I have hanging underneath my sink. In mine I store dish soap, a soap-dispensing brush, and the spray bottle I use to water some of my plants.
It is also extremely functional to have hooks on the back of your cabinets that make for easy-to-grab oven mits, potholders, or grilling utensils. It is truly so much easier to open my cabinet next to the stove to grab my mits instead of finding them stuffed in a drawer.

**Plate Aesthetics**
Here is your chance to bring your own flare to your kitchen. Whether you want a sleek, modern look with slate grey and charcoal dishware, or bright and funky dishware like mine, this is your opportunity to get creative. My blue and green dishes peak through the frosted glass cabinets in my kitchen at Camden Victory Park, and I purposely made them symmetrical. This aesthetically evens out the organization of my kitchen and helps to highlight my favorite bowls displayed in my exposed cabinet.
You may be thinking that I am crazy for getting so excited over plates. But I promise you that having matching dishware will make you feel like you have your life together, and it will certainly bring your kitchen up a notch.

**Bonus Hack: Cutting board storage**
Cabinet dividers are a blessing. Store these in your cabinets to separate cutting boards, pots and pans, lids, or baking sheets!
I guarantee that utilizing these storage tips and tricks will completely revamp the look of your kitchen and improve the functionality! If you need any other wisdom improving your kitchen, check out this blog on How to Make Your Kitchen Sparkle.
