Located in the South Park Neighborhood of Charlotte, NC, Camden Fairview was a cozy and welcoming introduction to the city. When choosing a community, especially in a city you know little about, it can be very daunting to know which neighborhood to choose. On top of the location uncertainty, I had a very social and high-energy pet to consider as well. Ultimately, my roommate and I landed on Camden Fairview and thoroughly enjoyed our time living in the community. This community offers renovated one or two-bedroom apartments perfect for a variety of residents. Choosing Camden Fairview was due to a few factors: proximity to work, affordability, pet amenities, and accessibility to the rest of the city’s amenities.

Easy Commutes to Work from Camden Fairview

My roommate and I were working in opposite directions, so we wanted to ensure that wherever we lived was a fair distance from the office for both of us. I was working in the Ballantyne neighborhood, in South Charlotte, while she was working in Uptown. When reviewing the map of Charlotte via www.camdenliving.com, this narrowed our search to the Dilworth, Myers Park, and South Park neighborhoods, as we wanted both commutes to be within twenty minutes for each person.

Budget-Friendly Apartments at Camden Fairview

As recent college grads and moving away from home for the first time, we wanted to make sure that we were not going beyond each other’s budgets while having different salaries and financial responsibilities. Camden Fairview offered rent prices within our budgets while offering spacious two-bedroom floor plans. Not only did they offer great prices and floor plans, but modern finishes with upgraded kitchen appliances, as well.

Our two-bedroom apartment featured all vinyl throughout our first-floor apartment home, which was great for stress-free living with a pet. We resided in a newly renovated apartment home with white quartz countertops and upgraded appliances. The leasing and maintenance team was very efficient and personable if we ever needed anything. Parking was always available and close to the building, which was convenient when arriving to and departing from home.

One of our favorite bonus features at Camden Fairview was the storage closet attached to our patio, completely included with our home, and perfect for storing items like seasonal décor, bulky items, and our vacuum. While not all apartment homes include a storage closet, there are also additional storage closets available to rent near the leasing office, making the community even more comfortable for residents.

Camden Fairview satisfied our need for a great rent price while offering a well-maintained fitness center, a large dog park, a car care center, and access to a pool and outdoor spaces to lounge.

Camden Fairview's Location - Enjoy City Amenities

The South Park neighborhood has much to offer in entertainment with great restaurants like The Southern Pecan, Duckworth’s, Leroy Fox, and many more, in addition to bars, shopping, a music venue, parks, and a large mall. There is also a plan to continue expanding walkability and live/work spaces by 2035. This was key, as we wanted to be sure that we enjoyed the neighborhood we lived in, while also having access to the popular uptown areas like South End, Uptown, or Plaza Midwood. The South Park neighborhood is perfect for convenience, being near great entertainment options, schools, and public libraries, while being conveniently accessible to other trendy neighborhoods.

Camden Fairview's Pet Amenities

While heavily weighing our options between Dilworth and South Park, the latter was more appealing to us. The deciding factor was the pet amenities. Camden Fairview is home to a large dog park and green space behind the community, as well as being located across the street from Petfolk, a veterinary office that offers regular appointments and emergency vet visits if the need arises. Additionally, all ground-floor apartments have vinyl flooring and sliding glass doors that open to a private patio that faces a grassy area. This made living with a large dog convenient and stress-free, especially when moving from a home with a yard.

Camden Fairview is Just a Great Place to Call Home

Camden Fairview was a small community that offered a large dog park for my pet to visit each day and green space to walk around the community. Additionally, we were a short drive from Park Road Park, which connects to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. We had access to Symphony Park to listen to live music, or South Park Mall and the surrounding retail areas for great shopping, bars, and restaurants.

Conveniently located off of Providence Road (Highway 16), which goes from top to bottom of Charlotte, we had direct access to all neighborhoods of the city within 15-20 minutes and had a straight commute to work in either direction. The interiors of our apartment featured all vinyl flooring throughout our first-floor home, which was great for stress-free living with a pet. We had a newly renovated apartment home with white quartz countertops and upgraded appliances, and a storage unit, which added to our comfort. The leasing and maintenance team was very efficient and personable if we ever needed anything. Parking was always available and close to the building, and the recently renovated cabana was a great addition when having guests and utilizing the pool or grilling areas.
