Thanksgiving is around the corner. You’ve already made your guest list, sent out your e-vites and have gotten your friends excited about Friendsgiving dinner. Next is getting everything together for a night full of fellowship. Here is a last minute checklist for the ultimate Friendsgiving dinner!

For the Host

☑ Send out Reminders

Give Parking instructions. Whether you live in a high rise or garden style, parking with apartment living when you have gatherings can be a little tricky. So be sure to let your guest know their options!

What’s on the Menu? Getting together with your friends for Thanksgiving, as an alternative to getting an expensive plane ticket home is nice, but of course the big part of this night is...FOOD! Are you having a potluck? Having it catered? Or are you cooking? Sending out a reminder letting your guests know what they should bring is a great way to be prepared.

☑ Table Settings

Where are we sitting? Don’t let having a smaller apartment deter you from making an awesome space for you and your guests to enjoy dinner comfortably! Check out this blog on How to host a dinner party in a small space.

Decor, please! Decorating the table and your entire apartment is the fun part of preparing for the party! Party City has great inexpensive holiday themed table decor.

For the Guest

☑ Be the Best Guest, for the Host with the Most

What’re you bringing? The host should be sending out reminders for Friendsgiving dinner. If you need to bring a dish check out these great Thanksgiving Potluck Recipes to chef up a delicious meal for the party.

If the host is cooking, ask what other party favors you should bring. i.e. a bottle of wine or a fun party game!

Be Helpful. Ask if you can come early to help set up or stay after to help clean!

☑ Arrive on Time!

Check your GPS. Once you’ve checked your party reminder confirming the party start time and address, check your GPS to see how long it would take you to get there! Waze is a great community based app that provides information on traffic!

For Everyone!

☑  HAVE FUN! Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate gratitude! So be sure to smile and have a good time with a great group a friends!
