Houston has 49,643 acres of total park space, with 22 acres per 1,000 residents. The national average is 12.4 acres per 1,000 residents. I love this! For being such a large city it’s nice to know it’s not just a concrete jungle. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting most of the parks here in Houston and I must say they’re all very unique. Most of the parks include mountain and recreational bike trails, outdoor theaters and jogging tracks. So if you’re new to Houston or just not too familiar with what’s around, definitely check this out. If you have any questions just ask!
Downtown Bike Trail Houston Bike Trails The trail consists of 345 miles of interconnected bikeway networks of on street and off street trails. My favorite will have to be the Heights to Downtown trail. I just love the skyline view you get, it’s a sight to see at any time of the day.
