Home is where we feel comfortable and finally relax after a busy day. How do we ensure that we are maximizing our relaxation and comfortability? The best way is to ensure that your Five Senses - Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste, and Touch,  are all in sync. So, let’s start there!

Sight

Lucky for you, Camden Apartments offer luxurious finishes and clean, modern designs. Start with a quick clean and declutter of your countertops. It is so much easier to relax when things are clean and fresh, and removing clutter from your line of vision is one big step toward relaxation. Trust me when I say you’re better off without looking around and seeing the things you have to clean up later.

Hearing

One of my new favorite things to do is to put on relaxing music as soon as I get home and have that playing while I spruce up my apartment. The world seems hectic at times, and music can take over those feelings and provide a bit of calm and clarity. It also helps me slow down. Sometimes I feel as if I am rushing to do everything, and calming music reminds me to take it easy.

Smell

Aromatherapy can also have powerful effects on relaxation. Light a candle, burn a wax warmer or put on your favorite lotion. If you are like me, do all three. If you are feeling extra cozy, check out the Best Fall Scents for Your Apartment Home for the warmest scents to choose from.

Taste

Now cook yourself a meal that not only tastes good but makes you feel good, whatever that is. Find your happy-medium between nurturing and tasty. This could even be grabbing some fruit and watching a movie, or hot tea. What is important is that you are winding down and enjoying it.

Touch

Probably my favorite part of getting cozy. Curl up in your Camden living room, on your soft couch with the fuzziest blanket you can find. Put on your soft, house shoes and favorite socks. Change out of your work clothes and put on your pj's. You have made it. This is what you work so hard for, enjoy it!
