You are not alone.

That’s right! The more people you meet, the more you will realize that people come from all over the country and world to live in South Florida. This will expose you to diversity and new cultures.

Renting?

Not sure where you want to live? Camden Apartments will be the perfect home for you. These popular communities are located all over the country and South Florida is fortunate enough to have eight communities from Boca Raton to Brickell in Miami. Check out all available apartments.

Be a Tourist!

It’s ok to be a tourist in your own city. Go explore! Most hotels in Florida will give you the Florida resident rate, just show proper Florida ID. The best time to get good rates is during the summer when season is low! Take a drive down to the Florida Keys, stay a weekend in Boca Raton and be sure to save a few days for Miami. Check out Gumbo Limbo Nature Center only a quick seven minute drive from the Camden Boca Raton location, or explore famous South Beach in Miami just over the bridge from the Brickell Camden community!

What is “Season”?

When moving to Florida, you will hear the word, “Season”. Well what exactly does that mean? Between the months November to late April, early May residents from the north such as New England, and New York make Florida their winter home. These are the snowbirds! Can you blame them? Shoveling snow can get old real fast! During season, allow enough time to get around on the roads as congestion may be increased!  Always be sure to introduce yourself to your neighbors! Getting to know your neighbors will be one of the first steps of meeting new people. If you happen to go away for a weekend and need your plants watered you may be asking your neighbor who you introduced yourself to!

Going to the beach?

Ah! At last, why you are really moving to Florida—the beautiful Floridian beaches! Some cities such as Boca Raton offer beach permits. You can get them online or at your local city hall. Getting a beach permit will save you a lot of money in the end. Nevertheless, the most important thing to remember when going to the beach—yes, you guessed it, sunscreen! That Florida sun is hot! Camden Communities such as Camden Las Olas which is 2.5 miles away and Camden Boca Raton, 1.3 miles away are both just a hop skip and a jump to the beautiful South Florida beaches.
