One of the best benefits of living in a Camden apartment home is meeting your wonderful neighbors! While many Camden communities host events for their residents to enjoy, there are other popular ways to get involved and make friends in your community. Some of these are probably already happening in your area and if not, don’t be scared to start them!

Book Club

  • book club is one of the easiest neighbor activities to get involved in and is most times a favorite. There are usually 1 or 2 residents that head the book club and organize the details for others (i.e. choosing the book selection, arranging the meeting schedule) and the amount of people able to join is unlimited.  Camden Riverwalk has had an ongoing book club for 2 years and has been lucky enough to have an author attend one of their meetings! Want to keep it basic and enjoy the reading? Most communities have a place for residents to partake in a “take one and leave one” neighbor library. Choose from many different books that interchange with other neighbors’ variety, so you always have something new to read.

Game Night

  • Who doesn’t love a good game of Monopoly, am I right? Many residents use our online portal, MyCamden.com, to coordinate a game night. They decipher who will bring the snacks, who will bring the drinks, and everyone brings a game of their choice. (Playing cards can be forgotten, but are sometimes the secret weapon for games!) While these events can be hosted in the comfort of your own apartment home, many Camden communities have 24-hour amenity areas available. Camden Victory Park has a Resident Game Lounge that fits perfectly for this activity; poker tables included!

Neighbor Night

  • Join your neighbors for a weekly happy hour, monthly dinner, or game of bowling! This is a great way for residents to experience all the surrounding restaurants and attractions in the area, while also interacting with neighbors. Many Camden communities, such as Camden Farmers Market and Camden Design District, have a Resident Perks Program that allows you to receive discounts to surrounding businesses. Simply showing your Camden Resident Perks Card you are instantly able to take advantage of great deals, such as 10% off food, or a half-price cocktail. Neighbor nights can use this benefit to get the best of both worlds – interaction with friends and discounted tabs!

Don’t waste any more time and join in on the fun in your Camden community! Have more activity ideas? Feel free to share them with your fellow neighbors on your community portal, MyCamden.
