Once upon a time, there was a Camden team member by the name of Veronica. She came in to work every day, showed up to Camden training classes and even took part in Camden company events. Everyone knew her face, not one REALLY knew what she did all the days at Camden Grandview. Did she lease apartments? Balance budgets? What about collect rental payments? The curiosity ends here. The next installment of "What Exactly Does A _____Do?" will focus on Camden Charlotte's ONLY concierge: Veronica!
To find out more, we sat down with her and got a great idea of what her day to day looks like.
What is your official job title?

What are some of your specific job duties?
Photo courtesy of I do a lot! I do not have any specific morning, afternoon or evening duties, however some of my general tasks include: controlling the delivery bay, monitoring move ins and move outs and making sure lobby and drive up traffic, both incoming and outgoing, are flowing smoothly. I keep the downstairs lobby tidy, accept packages on behalf of residents and I process them through the different carriers. I inventory the 3 package rooms that we do have and keep our community access system updated for the rest of my staff.
What are some less common job duties that you have?
Photo courtesy of I act as a point of contact for corporate housing residents and I make sure their revolving information is consistently updated. Although I cannot guarantee security, I monitor the community camera systems and occasionally scare off potential trespassers. I am responsible for keeping the community lobby fresh, clean and prospect ready, and both watering and maintaining our beautiful, fresh flowers. I great EVERYONE with a warm smile and a vivacious "Welcome Home!"

What are some things that you have been called upon to help a resident with?
Photo courtesy of I help my residents with any need they may have. I have called cabs, referred great places to eat, AND even helped put a sofa into a U-Haul once!

Wow! Veronica sure does a lot! She may not be directly helping residents sign their leases, but I can only imagine what a wonderful person she is to have around helping with the day to day maintenance of the community!
