Yes, 'happily ever after' is a lovely way to end a fairy tale, is life really like that?

Watch these movies this Valentine's Day and decide for yourself!

Moonstruck:

The movie where Brooklyn, full moons and Cher collide to create one big pizza pie of love!

Fall in love with reckless, young Nicholas Cage to the sounds of Dean Martin singing "That's Amore".

This movie tells you that no matter what society expects of you always follow your heart and do what feels right. Love cannot be planned. You never know who you will fall in love with. Let fate run it's course - even if it is kind of messy at first.

As Good As It Gets:

Some people might not call this movie "romantic", but I do.

Watching Jack Nicholson, riddled with anxieties, a sharp tongue and very impersonal habits open his heart to Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear would make any movie goers heart melt. When you realize that Melvin Udall (Nicholson's character)is actually a good person, how could you not fall in love with him?

Did I forget to mention that this movie features the cutest little dog ever?

Anything Bridget Jones:

If it starts with "Bridget" and ends in "Jones", watch it on Valentine's Day.

Not only are these movies hilarious, they really hit home with many women. The 'Bridget drinking vodka and face-planting on the floor while singing 'All By Myself' ' scene is truly a cinematic gem.

Starring Colin Firth and Hugh Grant, these movies are so much fun and they really remind you that a) you are not the only person that wears Spanxx and b) there is someone out there that likes you "just the way you are". Cheers.

500 Days of Summer:

This movie has to be my all time favorite movie! (No, the fact that I named my daughter after Zooey Deschanel's character has nothing to do with it, duh!)

Now, anyone who watches Joseph Gordon-Levitt movies already knows that he is Unconventional Movie Guy.

This movie follows a hopeless romantic and a realist through their journey of trying to have a relationship. These two people are polar opposites who share a love of The Smiths (yeah, ok - another reason I adore this movie).

After watching this movie, the idea of not having a happily ever after might be the happily ever after that you wish you would have had. Pure gold!

This Valentine's Day, challenge your mind. Don't go with your everyday la-la love story. Be like love and mess with your emotions a little bit. I am sure you will come out of it with stars in your eyes just the same!
