I stumbled upon this clever little video of a megaphone attached to a podium somewhere in New York, with a note that read “say something nice”. It was fun to see all the wonderful things that were said by the people who took notice to it. It made me think how many times I’ve said to myself how great something was, such as a product, service or place. The thing is I never really shared that thought on a large scale. The first thing I scan over when I’m looking to make a purchase, go somewhere new or watch a new release at the theater, is it’s reviews. Many of us today rely on these reviews to make smart decisions on how we spend our time and money. Reviews also help these businesses see what is and what isn’t working for them. So in a sense, those bad reviews in some way or another are considered good reviews. Anyways, what I’m getting at is that we all should to take the time to “say something nice” about those wonderful experiences given to us. Your “megaphone” choices are endless with sites such as (https://www.facebook.com/camdenbrushycreek?cm_mmc=SM-_-Blog-_--- ""Like" us on Facebook - Camden Brushy Creek "), (http://www.yelp.com/biz/camden-brushy-creek-cedar-park?cm_mmc=SM--Blog---- "Yelp - Camden Brushy Creek") and (https://foursquare.com/v/camden-brushy-creek/4e469042ae60fa7232f4aac2?cm_mmc=SM-_-Blog-_--- "Foursquare - Camden Brushy Creek "). Every time my community, (http://camdenliving.com/?cm_mmc=SM--Blog---- "Camdenliving.com "), gets a great review on sites like (http://www.apartmentratings.com/?cm_mmc=SM-_-Blog-_--- "Apartment Ratings.com ") or (http://www.rentadvisor.com/?cm_mmc=SM--Blog---- "RentAdvisor.com"), it makes the day of the entire team. The greatest feeling is when we have someone tell us that the reason they took the time to come view our community was because of what others had to say about us on those sites. Sharing your happy thoughts with others on a larger scale about what made you smile or how a product helped you - may have a much greater impact then you may have originally thought. So use your megaphone more often. I know I will be. [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/v/RwEYYI-AGWs]
