To begin, the team will complete preventative maintenance in your apartment once a quarter. They’ll provide you with a brand new air filter. They’ll check your smoke detectors and other safety equipment, inspect your water heater, check the battery level on your Chirp smart lock, and essentially just ensure that all is well in your apartment! Next, the maintenance team will make sure the community looks great, and that all amenity spaces are well maintained. Depending on their size, Camden communities often have porters and groundskeepers on the team who are responsible for keeping fitness centers and clubhouses sparkling clean, grounds free of litter, and dog parks and pools dog and human-ready.

24/7 On-Call Service
Are you worried about after-hours emergencies? Don’t fret because someone is always on call. If a pipe breaks in your apartment or something else major occurs, all you have to do is call the office number. The Camden Contact Center will connect with the maintenance member on call and send them out to address the issue immediately. For reference, the following issues are considered emergencies and will be addressed during or after office hours: no heat/AC, toilet overflow, severe plumbing or roof leaks, refrigerator/freezer not cooling properly, no hot or cold water, any unsecured entry, malfunctioning controlled access gates, resident lockout, fire, or weather-related damage to doors, locks or windows.
Grade-A Apartment Make-Ready Process
Are you nervous about the state of the apartment when you move into it? No need for that either! A member of the Camden maintenance team is responsible for making your apartment ready for move-in, and they’ll be sure to do it with care. They will first inspect the apartment upon the previous move out, schedule it to be painted, install new flooring if needed, complete a thorough clean, and will take care of every big and small fix in between. The Camden team will go through several walk-throughs before it’s marked as complete and ready to become your new home.

Flexible & Easy to Work With
Additionally, they’re with the times! We know that not everyone wants someone in and out of the apartment right now, so the Camden maintenance team is happy to find other solutions to your maintenance problems when possible. For instance, a Camden team member can Skype or Facetime you to walk you through the issue first, and potentially get it solved together virtually! If you are a YouTube type of learner, we have lots of video resources to share such as this one instructing on how to unclog a garbage disposal. Additionally, you will have the option of three levels of entry - enter at any time, call before entering, and by appointment only. The maintenance time will see this and handle their entry to your home accordingly! Plus, your Chirp app will tell you who was in your apartment to complete the service request and at what time.
