For the past 30 years people from all over the world have come together to ride their bikes in a huge fundraising event called the BP MS 150. The ride takes place every April and goes from Houston to Austin. Alongside 13,000 cyclists, Camden employees and their family members participated again this year and raised funds to help battle Multiple Sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease in the central nervous system that currently has no cure. People with MS experience a multitude of symptoms such as vertigo, trouble walking, loss of vision, seizures, and depression. The fundraising for this ride goes directly to the National MS Society and helps towards finding a cure. This year the ride raised over $15 million, which is AMAZING!

The ride is roughly 160 miles, and is split over up over 2 days. However this year, the ride was cut short due to weather. Regardless of the circumstances, we had the best 1-day ride EVER! The energy was high, we had beautiful weather, and we rode our way up those Texas hills for a great cause.

As a team, we couldn’t have been more proud to be involved in this ride. This year we raised over 11 thousand dollars for MS research. We want to thank anyone who donated to us to help us reach our goals, every cent was appreciated. We also owe a BIG thank you to Bike Barn for partnering with us and providing training rides, updates, all the necessities we needed for the big day.

I want to give a huge shout out and viral hug to Camden’s own Kim Evans. She was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago and that didn’t slow her down one bit. She dominated all the miles and hills again this year and did so with such positivity. We are so lucky to have such a force present in Camden. Way to go Kim!

Our hope is to keep growing our team year by year. One of our core values is to HAVE FUN and we most certainly did that while forming bonds that will keep Team Camden riding year after year!
