Do you have a hard time hosting a party in a small space? Some would-be hosts, such as yourself, hesitate because they are not sure on how to plan a party when they don’t have a lot of space. I have put together some easy tips that anyone can use to help when entertaining in a small space like an apartment.

Move Furniture around

Take furniture from other rooms to help with seating, and remove furniture that you wouldn’t need to make more space.

Transform larger furniture for your advantage

You can use a kitchen island as a buffet table, or the living room coffee table to hold some appetizers.

You can even put an inexpensive piece of plywood on your coffee table with a table cloth to have more eating space.

Centerpieces/Decorations

For centerpieces, flowers are great. They add life into the room, but in small places don’t go too big and dramatic. You should use smaller vases and colorful flowers.

Hang decorations instead of leaving them on your table and counters (those spaces are for foodJ). You can use lanterns and lights to set the ambiance. Also let the food be part of your decorations, you can use colorful garnishes and plates.

Finger Food

When it comes to smaller spaces finger foods are a must. It’s a great way to have a variety of foods and not have to have a bunch of dishes at the end of the night.

Plastic ware VS. Silverware

We all know that silverware is nice to use at any party but there are some really nice disposable plates and plastic spoons, forks and knives that you can find at a good price and you can throw them away at the end of the night. I personally buy my plastic ware at Sam’s Club because I like to buy in bulk. You can find them at any grocery store in your area.

I hope these tips have helped you when planning a party in a small space!
