We all know it can be difficult at times to grocery shop for one person. I personally find it hard myself and always seem to throw more food away then I eat, which is no good for me or my wallet. I did some research and found some great tips to make it easy to visit the grocery store.  Check out your pantry & fridge: See what you have and come up with meal ideas for grocery items you already have. Use Google if you’re having trouble thinking of things, simply as “What can I do with leftover _________? Planning your meals ahead of time makes it less stressful when you’re coming home from a late night at work. Take 10 minutes to do this, don’t rush. Also, this is great for your wallet as well. Makes eating out less tempting. Shop with a basket, not a cart:  I’m guilty of this. I over buy thinking I’m “saving money” because of all these great deals, then $100 later… Most of the time those items go bad and you end up throwing them away. Use a basket, you should be able to carry around enough in there to last you at least a week as long as you’re smart with your purchases. Friendly Freezer:  When living alone your freezer will help you out a lot. Whatever you have left over, divide it into single portions and freeze or reheat for later. Pasta: This is great option because you decide on the quantity you would like to use and then store the rest in your pantry! With so many varieties in pasta you won't be eating the same old pasta all of the time. Canned Soups/ Homemade Soups:

Homemade Tortilla Soup made by me! Great for meals on the go. Stores are now caring healthy option soups as well with less sodium. Bag up some crackers and you are good to go. Homemade soups are also always yummy, can easily be stored so that you can have for multiple meals. Breakfast: No problems making 1 serving for Breakfast. It could be anything from eggs, pancakes, bagels, omelets, cereal, etc. Breakfast options are an endless possibility and can be served as dinner once in while too! Readers, if you have any tips please do share! I love hearing everyone's feed back. -Lauren
