Make Your Apartment Your Gym

Most Camden communities offer workout facilities on-site, but sometimes your apartment door is the only barrier preventing your lazy caboose from exercising (don't pretend like this isn't you).  However, there are a lot of compact and quiet exercises that one can utilize inside the confines of an apartment.  The following are just a few ideas to consider: 1) Pull-ups: There are many pull-up bars that can attach to door frames. These are strong enough to support your body weight while not permanently damaging the door frame. 2) Ball exercises: Inflatable exercise balls don't take up too much space inside your home and you can target many different muscles with these (not just abs).  They are also one of the least expensive pieces of exercise equipment one can buy. 3) Kitchen exercises: You can even work out while cooking in your kitchen without any added equipment.  Use counters or tables to make certain stretches and body weight exercises more convenient. 4) Lunges: Lunges are a great way to work your leg muscles in your apartment without disturbing your downstairs neighbors. All I'm getting at is that you should use what you have.  If you have a gym at your apartment community then that's swell.  However, if your name is Rocky Balboa and you need to punch frozen meat to get ready for the big fight then you do what you need to do.  Push-ups, crunches, Pilates, and yoga are all perfect apartment fitness options.  Get in shape, folks, and remember to always consult a doctor and a physical trainer before trying any new exercise.
