I was sent a BuzzFeed
titled “The 26 Most Annoying Things about Working in An Office
”, in my email today. At first glance, it is hilarious. There are things on the list that most people have to deal with. Being in the United States, we are not always apt to brewing tea, but we are most certainly coffee addicts. The last one to use up the coffee and not auto-refill would make me angry. I have to say, I am partial to drinking Starbucks
frappucinos over regular brew coffee in a pot. The one that stood out the most to me was number 26, “coworkers who are permanently stressed”.
According to my comrades, I am that number 26 person. And I have to agree with them, I find myself stressed to the max on a regular basis.

Thinking about this more and more, I have decided to compile a list of the things that I find to resolve stress in my daily life. Not everyone has the same addictions and favorites as I do, but this may give you an insight to some things that could help.
- Diet Coke. My previous manager, Abdul, once said to me “Just drink your diet coke” before when I started to become stressed out. We joke about it now, but in reality, tasting diet coke really does help. Maybe it is mental, but the fizz, taste, and caffeine make me instantly calmed and happy.

2. Watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer
. It sounds silly, but my favorite television show makes me take my mind off of things and I get instantly taken in by the drama and supernatural issues that the slayer and her Scooby gang face.

3. Talking to my mom. I love technology and being able to text, call and FaceTime my mom. She sends me pictures of her Golden Retriever puppy, their house, and of her and my dad. My parents do not live near me, so any chance that I get to talk to them makes me smile.

. Whether it is planning my future wedding, future children, or my whole wardrobe, pinterest
has got me hooked! There are endless ideas for recipes, home décor, fashion, and life in general. http://www.pinterest.com
5. Playing the Sims
. See my previous blog post about my Sims addiction

6. Listening to music. Some of my favorite bands include Shiny Toy Guns
, and Paramore
. I love concerts and seeing bands live, but when I need a quick music fix, I choose my favorites on iTunes
and sing at the top of my lungs as if I was at a concert. http://www.shinytoyguns.com
The bottom line is that there is nothing in life that is too stressful that Diet Coke, mindless television indulgence, and talking to a mom can’t cure.
