For 20 years, Camden has been giving back to the Tampa Bay community in many ways. One major effort is teaming up with the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club and raising money for local and national charities through our annual Camden Golf Tournament. Over the past 20 years we have raised more than $300,000 together through this amazing event!

Our Camden Annual Golf Tournament is not just about golf, it is about fun and raising money for charity. Every year we pick a perfect theme to help create an entertaining atmosphere for our golfers and volunteers. We have been to a circus, off to the races, rolled the dice in Vegas, and this year we celebrated with a Monopoly theme. Our players and volunteers passed GO to take off on the course, putted their way through Boardwalk and played games on Railroad Ave. It was a fun day for all who attended.

Mike Brodsky, owner of House of Floors in Tampa, has been participating in our Camden Annual Golf Tournament every year since it is started! Mike is honored to have sponsored our tournament every year and shows pride in showing off his awards in his office.

After the golf tournament concludes, the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club asks our Camden employees to submit a request for a charity that they personally support. Each request is taken into consideration and a donation is made on behalf of Camden and the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club. Here are just a few charities that our Camden employees are involved in and have received a donation for this past year:

  • American Cancer Society

  • John Hopkin’s All Children’s Hospital

  • Alzheimer’s Association

  • Give Kids the World

  • Local schools and sports teams

  • Moffitt Cancer Center

  • Cat’s Cradle

  • Tampa Firefighter’s Museum

  • Warbirds Fight Club, Inc

  • Sunshine Foundation

Camden loves to support its employees and encourages us to give back to the community where we work and live. Over the last few years our Tampa team members have helped Starting Right, Now, an amazing organization that helps Tampa’s youth overcome homelessness. All Camden employees are passionate about helping others. In 2018 Camden employees volunteered over 6,500 hours helping our veterans, at food banks, supporting our first responders and serving anyone in need. We love giving back to others because at, Camden, we care.
