4 Ways to Simplify Your Thanksgiving Feast

If you're like me, you've hosted quite a few Thanksgiving dinners over the years. This typically involves several days of planning, prepping, and hours in the kitchen. Hosting Thanksgiving dinner in your Camden apartment doesn't have to be stressful. This year, I've decided to simplify my Thanksgiving feast by spending less time in the kitchen, and more time with my family. Wanting to simplify your Thanksgiving too? You can do it in just 4 simple steps:
1. Simple Appetizers: Having no-bake appetizers ready for snacking will make your job easier, and your guests happy. Stick to easy appetizers such as mozzarella and tomato skewers or a cheese-board. Sticking with the theme is easy too! Thanksgiving usually calls for heavy side dishes, so why not provide a light, healthy, and super cute appetizer like these small clementines. When peeled, they look just like little pumpkins!
2. Serve Drinks in Batches: To keep things simple, serve up a batch drink like a Fall Sangria. You can choose to use a large pitcher, or warm your drinks up by keeping them in a slow cooker or on a stove top. Either way, your guests will be able to serve themselves, giving you more time to enjoy the festivities!
3. Ditch the Turkey: Yes, I said it! Choose a rotisserie chicken instead of a turkey. Cooking a turkey is one of the most time-consuming tasks of Thanksgiving (in my opinion). Between thawing, brining, seasoning, and let's not forget the 4-6 hours of baking, it's quite the task. To simplify your Thanksgiving, stick to a rotisserie chicken instead. Pick one up from your local grocery store and spice it up with fresh herbs and gravy and no one will miss the turkey.
4. Keep the Decor Simple: If you haven't decorated with Kraft paper before then now is the time! You can place this on your table and use a sharpie marker to write words of thanks on the table. Pair this up with some leafy fall decor and floral and you'll have a super simple, yet festive table setting.
Hosting Thanksgiving dinner in your Camden apartment does not have to be stressful. It's a time to eat, drink, and give thanks; and with these 4 tips, you'll have even more time to enjoy the holidays!
