Uptown Dallas is alive with creativity from innovators, entrepreneurs, and people who want to make the place they live friendly for all. To Camden, Uptown Dallas is the place we can give our residents to the chance to live, work and play without compromise – what would it mean for you to live in Uptown Dallas?
UPTOWN – Located next to Downtown Dallas, north of Klyde Warren Park and off US 75 on the East. Uptown’s central location makes it one of the most popular and populated areas in Dallas, while still proudly maintaining its pedestrian-friendly status. The area has over 200+ restaurants, 160+ shops and nightlife strips for fun no matter the time of day or weather. Is happy hour your happy place? Head to The Rustic, The Concrete Cowboy or walk down McKinney Avenue. For outdoor adventures, the Katy Trail’s 3.5 mile walk, jog and bicycle path stretches from Victory Park to SMU. Need a career and a zip code change? Find the home that fits your style at Camden Victory Park then check out a few of the four large company headquarters such as Dean Foods and Goldman Sachs.
DESIGN DISTRICT – Home of internationally acclaimed antique shops on Slocum Street and Dallas’ art and creative expression capital. Also home to Camden Design District offering studio, one and two bedroom apartment homes. Take a stroll down its wide sidewalks and you have an up-close look at the eclectic art scene of interior design showrooms and shops, antique collectors, boutiques and craftsman creations. We recommend checking out the art galleries from Dragon St to Hi Line, and art galleries such as the Goss-Michael Foundation by George Michael and Kenny Goss. It’s also hard to pass up an afternoon at the local craft brewery, Peticolas Brewing Company.
OAK LAWN & CEDAR SPRINGS – Where high-end retailers, bass-bumping nightclubs and no-frills hangouts coincide. Since the 80's, out-of-towners and locals make their way to Cedar Springs for nightlife that ranges from a concert at the House of Blues Dallas to DJ-driven clubs and more. This is an area diverse in things to do and diverse in ideas, the perfect place to be yourself while doing what you love. In the middle of the normal city fare, you'll find a variety of hiking and biking trails inside the Turtle Creek Trails. This area is all about making the world a better place, and here’s how we use that inspiration in Dallas through Camden Cares.
KNOX-HENDERSON – Located between Uptown and Highland Park, the Knox-Henderson corridor is where laid-back cool lives in Dallas. This area is where upscale mainstream fashions in Knox meet the imported, retro fashions of yesterday in Henderson. It’s other claim to fame is the food, and we recommend American classics with a twist at The Porch, modern sushi at Tei Tei Robata and more. Wherever you've decided to dine in Knox-Henderson, there's a chance that the veggies on your plate have been grown in the area as well! Through community gardens like Promise of Peace Community Garden, restaurants and neighbors can grow fresh produce from planting to harvesting. Lovingly referred to as a POP Garden by locals, some of our local area experts have advice on how you can get involved in How to Enjoy The Local Community Garden in Knox-Henderson on the Simply Camden Blog. We want to live in this area as much as you do, so we give you two chances to do just that at Camden Belmont and Camden Henderson.
