Steven
Eddington is Senior Vice President of Operations for Camden. He is responsible
for overseeing all facets of property operations which include six regions with
approximately 65,000 apartment units and 1,600 employees. In February 2005, Mr.
Eddington assisted in the successful merger with Summit Properties, Inc. That
transaction created a combined company with total market capitalization of
approximately $5.8 billion.
Mr.
Eddington joined the Company in 1998 and served in the capacity of Regional
Vice President and General Manager of the Western Region. Under his leadership,
the Western Region consistently outperformed the competition by creating
operating efficiencies, maximizing asset value, focusing on execution, and
delivering excellent customer service. Mr. Eddington also assisted with the
successful merger of the Oasis and Camden companies, helping to align cultures
and identify best practices.
Mr.
Eddington has expertise and experience which extends more than 20 years in the
multifamily industry. During that time, he held executive positions with such
notable companies as Clark Financial, Kemper/Cymrot, Balcor, and Insignia. Mr.
Eddington has served on the Board of Directors for Apartment Associations in
Utah, Texas, Georgia and Florida.
Mr.
Eddington is a graduate of the University of Utah, and has achieved the
following industry designations: Certified Property Manager (C.P.M.); and
Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (C.A.P.S.). He currently supports
various national and local charities such as the Heart Foundation, Multiple
Sclerosis Society, Boy Scouts of America, Toys for Tots, and Make-a-Wish
Foundation.
